What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.
Factors to consider: Can I Use A Heated Mattress Pad With A Memory Foam Mattress Pad
The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than many hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill absorb some movement, lowering how much movement is felt across the surface area of the bed. Sleepers might still experience some movement transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up during the night due to the mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva takes in somewhat more movement than the Luxury Firm and Firm alternatives.
While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving capacity, the quantity of pressure relief that a private experiences on the mattress will vary based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Plush Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Firm version.
Note: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the distinctions listed below. We prepare to evaluate the new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is inherently long lasting. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which may show handy if you’re unsure what you choose or if your needs alter in time. This is not a conventionally soft bed mattress, but it uses a flexible cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness. Given its natural sturdiness, the Zenhaven needs to work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These bed mattress were also assessed in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve spoken with ratings of specialists in the mattress industry and in products science; visited dozens of mattress factories, display rooms, and stores; and pored over the great print on specs, warranties, and return policies.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. However we do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “optimal spine support”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
