What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva concentrates on direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Between these three brand names, the business sells numerous bed mattress models, consisting of the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Suitable for: People with more specific firmness preferences Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples trying to find a mix of pressure relief and bounce The majority of online mattresses are foams or hybrids, so the Saatva Classic sticks out. It is among the few innerspring bed mattress you can easily purchase online. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva also uses a generous 180-day trial period and easy returns.

Keep in mind: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions below. We plan to test the new version soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is intrinsically durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may show useful if you’re unsure what you choose or if your needs change in time. This is not a traditionally cushy bed mattress, however it provides a flexible cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness. Offered its innate resilience, the Zenhaven must work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such bonus as zoned layers for “ideal spine assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and long lasting foams and coils.
