What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

Note: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions below. We prepare to evaluate the brand-new variation soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is intrinsically resilient. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may show handy if you’re not exactly sure what you prefer or if your requirements change gradually. This is not a traditionally soft mattress, but it offers a supple cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness. Given its inherent toughness, the Zenhaven must work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. However we do understand that the business utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (rather than fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and long lasting foams and coils.
